Green & Environmental Features Lighthouse Point is registered as a member of the US Green Building Council. The U.S. Green Building Council is the US’s foremost coalition of leaders from across the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. Lighthouse Point is working to attain LEED® Certification on the Project. The LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™ is a voluntary, consensus-based US national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Lighthouse Point will be a Signature development, incorporating a series of 9 upscale "green technology" condos, a bistro for daytime/sunset delights and Divetech's new dive shop. "It's the ultimate natural environment for a Residential/Resort area, bringing new services to the West Bay, Grand Cayman area for both residents and visitors. We will incorporate the latest in green and hurricane technologies to offer protection and cost saving efficiencies for all owners". Features for the 8 x 2-bedroom 1,500 square foot condos and 1 x 2-bedroom 2200 sqaure foot condo will include many energy efficient technologies, from solar and wind generation, wired for grid tie-in and water conservation.
